Terms & Conditions
Terms for DigitalPoint private AI installation, configured hardware and support services.
Important: These terms are intended as practical website/service terms and should be professionally reviewed before DigitalPoint begins taking consumer orders online. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
1. About DigitalPoint
DigitalPoint provides private/local AI installation, configuration, hardware supply and related support from 9 Cornbury Crescent, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom. Contact: hello@digitalpoint.co.uk.
2. Prices
The standard private AI installation is £750 fixed price for the basic installation described on this website, subject to suitable customer hardware and an agreed scope. The configured ASUS Ascent GX10 package is £4,899, subject to availability and the final agreed specification. DigitalPoint is not VAT registered, so VAT is not added to these prices.
3. Standard £750 installation
The standard installation includes Docker, Ollama, Open WebUI, selected AI models, document Q&A/RAG capability, a coding model, agreed network configuration, air-gap/offline configuration where required, testing, documentation and four weeks of email support.
Installation may be performed remotely on suitable customer hardware or, by prior agreement, on equipment couriered to DigitalPoint and returned after configuration and testing. Courier arrangements, costs and risk in transit will be agreed before the customer sends equipment.
4. Hardware suitability
The customer must provide accurate hardware details. Model performance depends on the hardware, model, workload and number of users. DigitalPoint may recommend alternative models or hardware where the requested configuration is unsuitable.
5. ASUS Ascent GX10 package
The advertised package is based on an ASUS Ascent GX10 with 128GB unified memory and 1TB storage, supplied with the agreed local AI environment configured and tested. Availability and final specification are confirmed before an order is accepted.
6. Warranty
The DigitalPoint-supplied GX10 package includes a 12-month DigitalPoint hardware warranty from delivery. Warranty details, exclusions and the applicable repair/replacement process will be confirmed with the order. Statutory consumer rights are not affected.
7. Customer responsibilities
Customers are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups before installation or sending equipment to DigitalPoint. Following handover, customers are responsible for their data, backups, malware/antivirus protection, network security, user access, software maintenance and the way the AI system is used.
8. Access after handover
DigitalPoint does not retain ongoing access to the customer's machine following completion of the installation. Any later support requiring access must be separately authorised by the customer.
9. AI output
AI systems can produce inaccurate, incomplete or misleading output. Customers are responsible for reviewing and verifying outputs before relying on them, particularly for legal, financial, medical, regulatory, technical or other consequential decisions.
10. Model and third-party software
Models and open-source software are provided under their respective third-party licences. Availability, licences, features and model suitability can change. DigitalPoint will agree the initial model selection with the customer but cannot guarantee that third-party projects or model providers will continue to make a particular model or software version available.
11. Consumer cancellation rights
Where a customer is a consumer, applicable UK statutory cancellation and return rights apply. Any request to begin a service during a statutory cancellation period, and any configured-to-order hardware arrangements, will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law and confirmed before the order is accepted. DigitalPoint does not use these terms to remove statutory rights.
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not permit it to be limited. Customers remain responsible for their own operational use of the system and for maintaining backups and appropriate security controls. Any additional project-specific limitations or responsibilities will be set out in the quotation/order confirmation.
